William J. Rivers

William J. Rivers (Mickey) died on December 15, 2017 at the age of 64. Born in Lackawanna, New York on 12/30/52 and grew up in South Buffalo, NY. He joined the U.S.A.F. on May 19, 1972. After his 4 years of active duty, he joined the Air Force Reserves at Niagara and in December 1982 was employed as an aircraft technician until his retirement in January 2008.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Deborah (Jurain). Dearest father of Jessica (Jeffrey Meacham), Aaron and Christopher (Yolanda Cotto Rivers). Grandfather of 5 grandchildren, Ryan Meacham, Tyler Meacham, William Rivers, Savannah Rivers, Riley Rivers. Brother to Philip “Buddy” (Leahnette) Rivers Eileen Huddleston and Kathleen (Colan) Kinsella. Brother-in-law to Darlene, John and Eileen Jurain. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Philip and Margaret (Peggy) Rivers, as well as his siblings Michael Rivers, Mary Violin and John Rivers.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 13 followed by a reception from 3:00-5:00 pm both at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., NV 89129.
