William Keith Thompson

Kit was born on January 17th, 1956 in Catonsville, MD where he was raised by his beloved mother, Virginia. Kit spent his youth in Maryland as a stand-out high school football player, where he earned all-county honors at Catonsville High School in large part due to the influence of his stepfather, Bruce. After high school, Kit attended Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. While in college, Kit spent much of his time in nearby Ocean City, MD, where his love for the beach and surfing blossomed.

After college, Kit moved to Las Vegas, NV where he met the love of his life, Lori Ruby. Kit and Lori were married on December 11th, 1985 in Las Vegas and were happily married for over 39 years.

Kit is survived by his wife, Lori; his three children- Katie (Uche), Will (Ashley), and Sam (Kaylynn); his six grandchildren- Amelia, Blake, Vince, Jett, Bruce, and Hudson; his mother, Virginia; his brothers- Tommy (Susie), Chip (Kathleen), and Tim (Leigh); and his dogs Gracie and Dug.

Although his family will continue to grieve his loss and will forever miss him, we are thankful in our belief that he now resides in God's heavenly kingdom and is reunited with his father, William, his stepfather, Bruce, his grandmother, Kate, and many other friends & family (and his dogs!)

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 1:30pm at Canyon Ridge Christian Church located at 6200 W Lone Mountain Rd Las Vegas NV 89130. Family and friends of Kit are welcome to join at the celebration of life service and the reception immediately after.
