Willie Merle, my heart grieves with the thought that you are no longer here. However, I give God the praise that he allowed our paths to cross. I am glad you were a part of my life. You were my big sister. I will always remember your laugh and how good it always made me feel. I thank you for the examples of courage and strength you left with us as we saw you go through your various health challenges. I always loved your attitude and sense of humor. I thank you that I never left a conversation in which I shared a problem that you did not make me feel better. I thank you for your love and caring. What I appreciated the most is that you loved Jesus. Because I love Jesus too, I look forward to seeing you later.

Dear Aunt Willie Merle
We are truly going to miss everything about you. Your laugh, your smile, how much you always cared and were concerned for my family. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Thank you for every time we came to Vegas you took the time to make sure we went out to dinner and spent time with us. We love you and will miss you greatly.

Heart sick, sadness, tears, this too shall pass. Elementary school, middle school, high school, graduation, we did it together. The phone calls Tuesday or Thursday, I will miss and never forget. So it is goodbye for now and I’ll see you later. Your brother, Bobby C Childs.

With our condolence to the family. We can never express the heartfelt sympathy that we feel . We talked countless hours with Willie Marl reminiscing about the past the present and the family reunions. She was more than just a cousin to us, she was more like a sister. We will always remember her and she will always be in our heart. May God bless the family

My prayers and sympathies are with my cousins, the Andrews and Childs families. John 11:25-26 - Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” I do believe this, and Willie Merl lives and will never die in our hearts.

Your cousin,

Beverly R. Lovett

Willie, thank you for all the memories. Looking back over the years you were always there for us. You always talked to me even when you didn't feel good, you would say I'm alright. Our mother passed when we were young. You were not only my sister, you were like a mother to me and you were my friend. I have so many memories that I will never forget, you will never be forgotten. This is not good-bye, it's see you later, I will see you again!!

Love,
Clarence and Frances

My deepest and sincere condolences to the Andrews and Childs families on the passing of your loved one and my friend, Willie Merl.
I have known Willie Merl since childhood and had the pleasure of spending many "Hermitage All School Reunions" with her. I shall remember Willie Merl's warm smiles, humble spirit, and kind words whenever I was in her presence.
My heart grieves with her Aunt Daise, Bobby Charles, Clarence and the rest of her family.
Our Father in Heaven is able to comfort and strengthen you in such a time as this. Love you all, Cousin Joyce

Willie Merl, Bobby Charles, Clarence, and Ruby Jean (Muff) became my children at an early age after the death of their mother. I was blessed not only to be their cousin, their aunt, but their second mother. Merl and I shared a special bond.
I need a big tub to hold all of the tears that I have shed since I received the call of Merl's passing. I will miss hearing her voice and the many visits we had together in Arkansas and Las Vegas.
I pray God's blessings on her children, grandchildren and her siblings during this sad time.
Love you All, Aunt Daise
