Wilma Jean Willis

Wilma met Bobby in 1965 fell in love and later married him in 1966. She gave birth to their son Ken in 1967. Wilma would accept employment at Long Beach Naval Hospital as a Nurse. Wilma would resign and then devote herself to her husband and raising her son. She was a fulltime homemaker.

After Bobby’s retirement, they relocated to Las Vegas NV, and lived a nice peaceful life together in their beautiful home.

In 2013 she suffered a massive stroke and according to medical professionals was not expected to survive, But God said differently

God had a different calling on her life and she made the decision to answer his call. She spent her later years loving not only her devoted husband but everyone she encountered. She was able to love and be loved until she departed this earthly realm.

Her calling to heaven came on the beautiful morning of July 4th, 2022. She was gracefully welcomed into heaven by her mother and father 4 Sisters and 1 Brother and a host of other relatives and friends who departed this earth before her.

She leaves behind loving memories with her Husband Bobby, Her Son Ken (Tina) Willis, Her Bonus Son Bobby Willis, and Her Bonus Daughter Robyn (Ed) Cook. Her grandsons are Barry Willis, Roderick Wise, Adisa Lewis, and Julian Willis. Sister Bertha (Howard) Wilburn, Sister-in-Law Charlene Caston, and Brother-in-Law Michael (Theresa) Willis, Nephew Garry (Monique) Torrence. She had a special love for her great-grandchildren affectionately known as “The Gang” Aaliyah and Kendrick Wise, Adrianna Mercado, and a host of nieces and nephews’ cousins and friends.
