Second oldest of nine children. He attended Colchester Vermont schools and at a young age had to stop going to school to go to work farming to help his parents and siblings. He was a loving family man who loved his family with all his heart. He was a great friend to all who knew him and was always willing to help anyone who needed it no matter what. He was a simple man with a heart of gold and loved simple things. Including taking walks, Berry picking with his grandkids when they were young, playing cards with his family and friends, saving coins and putting puzzles together which he truly enjoyed. He was simply a one of a kind country man. Nothing ever changed that.
He worked for the Town of Colchester Public Works for forty wonderful years. He was always happy and proud of all the time spent there and lovingly talked about the guys there and his tenure often.
