Cheryl Lynn Shipp

Cheryl Lynn Shipp, 61, passed away on October 11, 2015 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born on July 19, 1954 in Highland Park, MI to Harold Verellen and Shirley Simonson-Rogers. Cheryl grew up in Howell, MI & moved to Doraville, GA in 1961. Cheryl married Danny Lee Shipp January 23, 1971 in Doraville, GA. They were happily married for 44 years. She enjoyed spoiling her puppies, long drives through the mountains, shopping, & helping others.

Cheryl is survived by her spouse Danny Lee Shipp of Lilburn, GA; her sons Daniel Wayne & Thomas William Shipp of Lilburn, GA; her siblings Barry Lee Simonson of Central Lake, MI, Linda Sue Mead of Lilburn, GA, Gayle Leslie Hudson of Tucker, GA, & James Leslie VerBeek of Tucker, GA; her grandchildren Christian Ryann Shipp & Sierra Elizabeth Shipp of Oakwood, GA; & several nieces & nephews all of whom loved her dearly & will miss her greatly.

A memorial service will be held at Advantage Funeral Home, 500 Harbins Road, Lilburn, GA 30047 on November 1, 2015, at 2pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at their home & the memorial service.
