Darlene Renee Miller(Briggs) known to many of her friends as Darmack, born April 3, 1959 in Buffalo, New York passed away on March 28, 2024 in Snellville, Georgia before her 65th birthday. Darlene was drawn to travel and new adventures so she transitioned to New York City after high school. Darlene had a flare and love for fashion so she continued her education at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Darlene soon embarked a successful fashion design sales career in Manhattan, New York’s garment district. Darlene relocated to Atlanta to further her successful track record before crossing over to a new career in financial recovery.
Darlene had a vibrant personality and was known for her energetic spirit and zest for life. She was a caring and loving woman who always put others before herself. She loved spending time with her family and friends no matter how far she had to travel to make it happen. Darlene was open minded and embraced new experiences. She deeply cherished her family, especially her grand kids.
If motivation was a person it would be Darlene. Through the toughest trials and tribulations Darlene always found a way to overcome them. She was a go getter and didn’t let anything hold her back from what she wanted in life. She was a leader amongst her peers and provider for a family.
Darlene was a jack of all trades and very outgoing. Style and fashion were essential and she took pride in looking her best every day. She developed a love for acting and soon began working roles as an extra and voice over actress. She was a lover of music, her favorite song is Rainbow 65. One of her pastime hobbies was yard work, she loved landscaping and decorating her yard.
Darlene is survived by her husband Dean Miller; son, David M. Boyd II; sisters Michelle Shaw, Philicia Pratcher, Irene Walker, and Tasha Shaw; and granddaughter Daria Madison Boyd. She was preceded in death by her sisters Patricia Shaw and Pamela Shaw.
Darlene's educational background included Fillmore Middle School, Bennett High School, and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY. Her career journey consisted of financial services, fashion design sales, telemarketing, and business-to-business recovery.
Darlene worshipped at Heart Strong Ministry in Duluth, Georgia.
