Douglas Hunczak

Douglas Henry Hunczak, age 66, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. Doug was born on September 23,1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to Henry and Ruth Hunczak. He is survived by his loving wife, three children and six grandchildren.

Doug graduated from Lakewood High School and went on to attend the Ohio State University before relocating to Georgia to embark on a career in fire safety systems that spanned over three decades. His dedication and hard work was exemplary and his impact was profound.

Among his greatest accomplishments in life was his 40 year marriage to his wife, Fay Brown Hunczak, and his dedication to his three children: Sharon London, Stephanie Hunczak (Sal), and Sean Hunczak. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Kaila Mathis (Sharon), SJ and Spencer Hunczak (Sean), Gabriella, Camila, and Aliyah Medina (Stephanie and Sal).

Doug was a brilliant man and an extraordinary storyteller. Charming, witty and captivating, he will be remembered as such.

A memorial celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church located at 50 Harmony Grove Rd., Lilburn, GA, 30047.
