So sorry to hear about Mrs Searcy's passing.

My mother was an inspiration everywhere especially at Gwinnett Christian Terrace where she lived her remaining years ❤️

My family and I met Emily when I was 10  years old. Her husband was my pastor. While I lost contact with the Searcys  for many years, when we reconnected, I was not surprised to find them both as committed to the Lord as they were as a young married couple with two beautiful children.  Every conversation with Emily had two themes - the Lord and her family, especially her grandchildren.  Oh, how she loved her children and grandchildren!

She spoke boldly and unapologetic of her faith in God. She loved people. She loved her GCT home, her neighbors and her volunteer jobs at GCT. 

She’s now with her Lord and Savior. She’s with her amazing husband and the rest of her family.

She was the best grandma I ever had I will never forget her in my memories

Breaks my heart to hear Emily has passed. I lost my sister 5 weeks ago and this was hard to hear but we had talked and she told me she was ready to go.
I was fortunate to get to know Emily at GCT as she recruited me for her Wii bowling team and we had some good times.
We kept in touch after I moved out of GCT and we told each other we missed each other and that we loved each other.
I will miss talking with her. I know she’s in heaven with my sister.
