Eugenia Golovanyuk, 95, cherished mother and beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025.
She was born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on February 8, 1930. A graduate of the Tashkent Conservatory in 1957, Eugenia was a gifted opera singer who later served as head of the Choir Conducting Department at the Samarkand College of Music. Her passion for music filled her life and inspired those around her.
In retirement, she found joy in gardening, painting, and singing for friends at the King David Senior Center. Her love of music was only surpassed by her deep love for her family.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Kuzma Kofidi. She is survived by her daughters Angela and Viktoria, and her grandsons Arkadios and Nikolas. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love.
