Harry Hart Bryant, beloved husband, brother, uncle, friend, and child of God, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on July 20, 1948, in Aiken, South Carolina. He touched the lives of countless others, filling them with love, joy, kindness, and an incredible positive spirit. He loved his family above all else, especially his dear wife Amber, of 55 years.
As a member of the United States Air Force, he proudly and honorably served his country in Vietnam.
A talented chef by profession and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he truly shined around a full table. When with Harry, it was always a party and fun. His superior palette and sublime appreciation for good food were matched only by the warmth Harry brought to every room he entered. Harry was a true wine connoisseur and also excelled at choosing a wine that enhanced any meal he served.
Harry loved to travel and explore the world, and the world loved him back, as he turned strangers into friends in numerous countries. He seemed to have a natural ability to bring out the best in others. His laughter and zest for life touched everyone who knew him. A lifelong sports fan, he delighted in the energy of every game and the camaraderie it brought. Above all, he was an incredibly generous man who loved giving and helping others.
Harry was preceded in death by his father, Colie Wheeler Bryant, and his mother, Elva Lee Tidwell. He is survived by those who loved him, including his wife, Ann Marie “Amber” Bryant; his brothers Sanford Bryant (Linda) and Carlis Bryant (Joann); his sisters Erin Bryant, Sue Jones, and Zelda Clayton (Dan); Ann’s brothers and sisters; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. His fun-loving spirit, devotion to others, and the countless moments of joy he brought will remain forever in their hearts.
