
Jack Y. Anderson of Monroe, GA died of natural causes at his home on May 11, 2016. Mr. Anderson, a 93 years old WWII veteran, was the eldest son of Yancey and Virginia Anderson of Williamson, GA. He is survived by three daughters, Merle V. Anderson, Alice E. Brumbach, and Margaret A. Anderson and two granddaughters, Frances W. Dotson and Grace Y. Brumbach. His wife of 59 years, Frances J. Anderson, and his two brothers, George and Grover Anderson, preceded him in death.
Mr. Anderson was founder and original owner of Dekalb Realty Company in Decatur, from which he retired in 1993. He was honored in 2006 as an emeritus member of the Atlanta Board of Commercial Realtors, after 40 years of service. He was a proud member of the Masons as were his father and father-in-law.
He was blessed to live in the home he loved until his death thanks to the attentive care of Tina White, Melba and James Rowden, and their families.
