

James 'Red' Kelley, 87, of Bethlehem, GA received his heavenly wings on Monday, April 15, 2019. He passed peacefully and comfortably with his loving daughter by his side in the Cambridge Post Acute Care Center in Snellville.
He was born May 14, 1931 in Haralson County to J. Leonard Kelley and Ruby (Wood) Kelley.
After high school he enlisted into the Army. From February 1950 until 1952 he was on active duty and two of those three years he was stationed in Germany. Upon his return he served in the Reserves until February 1959. He then went into the grocery business where he worked until his retirement as the warehouse manager for A & P Grocery Stores.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Kelley Aycock. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, J. Leonard Kelley. His mother, Ruby Kelley Simpson. His sister, Katherine Kelley Settle. He is also preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Georgia Witt Kelley.
A special thank you to the people of MeSun Hospice in Snellville for their loving care and support during his final days. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude Children's Research Hospital as a remembrance to 'Red' would be greatly appreciated.
