

Jeannine “Nini” Maltby Chilton, age 84, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on November 16, 2020. She was born on July 2, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN. The daughter of the predeceased Clyde Maltby and Waneta Wood Miller of Atlanta, wife of predeceased husband, Jack King Chilton Sr. of Madison and sister of predeceased Diane Maltby Morris of Tucker. She is survived by her brother Phil Miller (Linda) of Smyrna, her son Jack Chilton Jr. (Carol) of Atlanta, son Chris Chilton (Laa) of Tucker, daughter Carol Gornowicz (George) of Atlanta, eight grandchildren (Kaitlyn, Mary, Emily, Clare, Jackson, Julia, Luke, and Elizabeth) and many nieces and nephews. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and many dogs over the years was among her greatest life’s pleasures. She attended Grady High School and graduated from the University of Georgia. Known as Nini by people of all ages, she loved playing tennis and was one of the original star players when ALTA was formed in the Atlanta area. She also loved to go to Stone Mountain where she would listen to the carillons, climb the mountain, and relax at the Cover Bridge Island with her dogs. She was a member at Twin Lakes Swim and Tennis Club for 47 years where she found much joy in visiting with people of all ages. She loved high school, college (UGA) and Atlanta professional sports teams and was recently elected into the Lakeside High School Hall of Fame under the Kicklighter Award for her many contributions over the years. A private family service is planned for Monday, November 23 at 11 a.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker, with a graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to OAK GROVE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH or LIFE LINE ANIMAL PROJECT.
