Lennox Lloyd

Lennox was an ambitious, cautious, and logical child who enjoyed the merriment of playing with his siblings and friends. As Lennox matured and neared adulthood, Lennox choosing to break away from the convention of his father and brother who were in law enforcement, he began working for Harryman Repairs, repairing various appliances. While working for Harryman, Lennox met the love of his life and future wife Emelia Didear in 1968. The pair dated and was married in 1970 at Blanchisseuse, Trinidad, Emelia’s hometown. Shortly after their nuptials, the pair emigrated to the United States in 1971. The pair settled in East Flatbush Brooklyn NY and bought their dream home.

Lennox had his heart set on furthering his education, so he pursued an Associate’s Degree from TCI College of Technology and graduated with a concentration in Electronics Engineering. Emelia and Lennox desired to have a family and in 1986 their desire became reality with the birth of their son Moses Lennox Lloyd.

Following his graduation, Lennox began working for Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, a company whose concentration was helping people with disabilities still could read. Lennox continued to advance in his career and after twenty-five years with the company he retired as a supervisor. With retirement, Lennox enjoyed traveling back to Trinidad with his family, listening to calypso, community work and strengthening his bond with Jesus Christ. Lennox and Emelia felt a strong connection with the Almighty and they both received the faith and salvation of God.

In 2017, Lennox became a grandfather with the birth of his grandson Zion-Isiah Lennox Lloyd. In 2021, Lennox and Emelia relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, with their son, grandson, and future daughter-in law.

In his later years, Lennox enjoyed attending church, reading his bible, and taking walks.

Lennox Lloyd is survived by his wife Emelia, son Moses, grandson Zion-Isiah, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
