
Lorraine Houlihan was born in Holly Springs, Iowa to Edine Murphy Clark and Russell Clark. She was one of nine brothers and sisters. Lorraine attended and graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School where she was a cheerleader and played basketball.
Lorraine was married to Dean Houlihan of Sioux City, Iowa for fifty years. They enjoyed living in St. Petersburg Beach for twenty years. They loved going to the Tampa Bucs and Devil Ray games. Lorraine was an excellent cook, who loved fixing meals for family and friends. Lorraine loved bridge and became a Life Master in the game. She also enjoyed cribbage, reading, and other fun card games. Some of our fondest memories of her in the kitchen and at the card table. She exercised regularly to fitness tapes, riding her bike, and swimming in the pool Dean built for her.
Lorraine is survived by her children Janice Cabe Slocum, son in law John Slocum, her son Jim Cabe, and Charlotte Locher. Through her first marriage, she had three granddaughters and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband Dean Houlihan and his children Tom Houlihan, Mark Houlihan (deceased), Deb Houlihan, Mike Houlihan, and daughter in law Maureen Houlihan. From her second marriage, she had twelve step grandchildren and seven step great grandchild. She was the epitome of motherly love.
