Mary Irene Varnell Wortman age 93, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Mrs. Wortman was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas L. Varnell, and second husband Les Wortman. She is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Gail and Sammy Baylor, Joy and Bill Palmer, Denise and Jimmy Woods and Elise and Jim Kennerly. Also, survived by stepson and spouse, Clint and Laura Wortman; and 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Wortman was a long time resident of Atlanta where she was an active member of Clairmont Baptist Church. Upon moving to Florida, she became of a member of Ozona First Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements are with Advantage Funeral Home & Crematorium, 500 Harbins Road, Lilburn, GA on Monday, December 19, 2016. The viewing will be from 11:30 am - 1 pm and funeral @ 1 pm. Monday, December 19, 2016.
