
Mr. Robert (Bob) Taylor of Hoschton, GA went home to the Lord on September 7th, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and a number of his children and grandchildren at Angels Garden in Dacula, GA. He was born in Butler, PA on January 7th 1938, and graduated from Butler High School. He graduated from Florida Southern College while serving in the Air Force. He entered the Air Force in Oct. 1956 and was honorably discharged in Aug. 1966. He was a member of the 367th Bomb Squadron (SAC). He flew for Eastern Airlines, Value Jet and Airtran until Jan. 1996. Then he ran the Airtran Flight Test Dept. until 2002. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He volunteered with the Northeast Georgia Hospital Auxiliary for 18 years. He loved the outdoors and nature, spending as much time as possible outside. He was a member and deacon at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years, Sandy Taylor, sister Mary Lou Pflaum, brother Harry Taylor, sister-in-law Mary Taylor, 4 children, 11 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 17th at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. with family visitation at 10 a.m. Pastor Emeritus John Batusic and Pastor Steven Clark will officiate with dear friend Larry Piedt giving the eulogy. Mr. Taylor will be laid to rest at The National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church.
