

Shirley was born to Felix and Mary Ethel Slater on July 10, 1934. Shirley married the love of her life, Daniel T Miller, SR on June 17, 1950 and remained deeply in love until his passing, March 2, 1987. Together, they had three children: Debbie, Danny and Candy.
Shirley loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards and sharing stories. She was a voracious reader and avid cook, making arguably the best cornbread and coconut cake in the world. Shirley was a hair dresser for many years. She was the middle child to nine brothers and sisters, leading her to become a great mediator and calming presence to everyone around her. To know Shirley was to love her. There was never a light that shined as bright.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Dan, of 37 years, son Danny, grandson Craig, mother Mary Ethel and father Felix, sisters Gwen and Jeannette, and brothers Cedric, Walter, Roy, Randy and Jimmy. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Joe) Varble, Candy (Steve) Conrady, granddaughters Brandi Boudoin and Wendy Coroso, grandson Daniel Miller, sister Jean Eisner, brother Mickey (Eleanor) Slater and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Shirley’s wishes were to be cremated with a celebration of life ceremony to be held on Saturday, May 22nd.
