Stephen John Cameron II was born on December 23, 1959, and passed away suddenly on May 17, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Glatzer Cameron; his son, Keith Cameron; and his grandson, Dresden Cameron. He is also survived by his mother-in- law, Kay Glatzer, and his brothers-in-law, David and Paul Glatzer.
Stephen was born at Edwards Air Force Base in CA and moved numerous times, as military families do - living in Japan twice before his family settled in San Diego. He met Vicki 40 years ago and together they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished friendships. They often returned to San Diego to enjoy its beautiful weather and spend time with family and close friends.
For 30 years, Stephen was a commercial truck driver amassing over 3 million miles, sacrificing many anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and gatherings to take care of his family.
He was a fierce friend, a true confidant, and someone you could always count on for honesty and wisdom. He had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days and was an avid supporter of our military. His kindness and caring spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Stephen tackled and beat cancer twice. Like the warrior he was, he fought with courage, grace and humor, emerging victorious—only to be taken too soon. That resilience and strength of character are qualities we will always admire and carry with us.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
