

Virginia was born in Chicago, IL where she met and married James Thomas Lewis, her loving husband of 48 years. They moved to Atlanta in the sixties to raise their three daughters and lived for several years in both Tucker and Dacula, GA. Ginny was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and loyal friend. She enjoyed reading, travel, games, friend and family gatherings, and her church.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Jim, her loving daughter Donna, as well as her parents; Mildred and Harry Bobeng and her brother Harry Bobeng.
She is survived by her daughters Linda Adams and Laura Southard, daughter-in-law, Jill Jacobs and son-in-law, Darin Southard. Additionally, she loved deeply her 7 grandchildren: Michael (Patrice) Adams, Ally Adams, Carson Southard, Spencer Southard, Jack Lewis, Seth Lewis, Sarah Lewis and her great-grandchild, Emmett. Also, very dear to her heart is her sister-in-law, June Bobeng, her nephews; Greg and his wife Janet Bobeng of Atlanta, GA. and Don and Cheryl Bobeng of Columbia, SC., along with many special friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 2:00 pm at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Dacula, GA. Ginny will be laid to rest in Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA after a private family service. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
Furthermore, the family would like to thank those individuals at Magnolia Senior Living in Sugar Hill and Sacred Journey Hospice that helped care for mom over the past year.
