Ada Mae Miles Lee, 88, was blessed to be called home to be with Jesus in Glory on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. Her late husband, Everette, was waiting with open arms to be reunited with his beautiful bride. Affectionately known as “Nottie”, she will be missed by those who love her dearly.
Born in Florence County, SC, on August 25, 1935, Ada was a daughter of the late Jefferson and Ada Lee Miles. Nottie married Everette Lee on May 19, 1951 in Johnsonville, SC, and was his faithful and doting wife until his death on December 1, 2019.
A dedicated and devout Christian woman, Ada was a long-time member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church in Pamplico. She retired as Director of Housekeeping from Commander Nursing Home following numerous years of service. An avid gardener, Nottie spent hours tending to her plants and beautiful flowers. Her greatest joy was time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her love for them was immeasurable and the memories shared will be treasured.
Surviving is her daughter, Cathy Lee Kunkle (Russell); son, Allen E. Lee (Teresa); six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by brothers, Cully Miles, Luther Miles, Henry Miles; sisters, Azalea M. Foxworth, Mary M. Evans and Janie Mae M. Poston; and great-granddaughter, Lauren Hicks.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, 235 Bazen Road, Pamplico, SC 29583. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow in Woodside Cemetery, 311 N. Walnut St., Pamplico, SC 29583.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, 235 W. Bazen Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
