

Alan Diemer Massi, 80, of North Myrtle beach passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Alexandria Antoinette (Matuszewski) Massi. They were married for 57 years.
Born on September 11, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Vincent and Alma (Taylor) Massi.
Alan was a U.S. Marine Corps pilot and veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned his naval aviator wings in July of 1964. He was a graduate of Penn State University. Alan retired from United Airlines as a pilot. A train enthusiast, he spent his retirement years as an award winning HO gauge train modeler. His work had been featured in Railroader Magazine.
In addition to his wife, Alan is survived by his daughters Nicole D. Harbaugh and her husband Bobby of North Myrtle Beach; Donna M. McCoy and her husband Darvis McCoy of Oroville, CA; granddaughters Jessica Rilveria and Julia Rilveria; and a great granddaughter, Izabella Rilveria; brother Wayne E. Massi and his wife Kathy Massi of North Myrtle Beach; and three nieces Stephannie Massi, Danielle Moore, and Suzie Dwyer, and their families.
The service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
