Alan R. Perry, age 84, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022. Born on February 8, 1938 in Staten Island, New York, he was the son of the late William and Phyllis Royland Perry.
Alan was a member of Celebration Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He retired from Florence County Schools after 37 years as the band director. Alan was a very talented musician who had a love for music. He was also an avid boater, he enjoyed every moment spent on the water.
He survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Cassandra “Sandy” S. Perry; sons, Steven Perry, David Perry; step-sons, Steven B. Wagoner, Carlos Evans, Andy Evans; step-daughters, Melba Hawkins, Jacqueline Johnson; brother, Arthur Perry; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Alan was preceded in death by his parents along with first wife, Carolyn Joy Chester and his second wife Maria E. Perry.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Celebration Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the church.
