

Born on June 8, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, Albert was the son of the late Albert William Duany and Amy Pearl Brown Duany. He graduated from Bladensburg High School in Maryland, Class of 1966, and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969.
Albert dedicated 42 years of his professional life to NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, where he worked as a communications manager, contributing to missions that reached beyond our world.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Jennie Errigo Duany; his children, Stacey Bober and her spouse Bradley, Michael Duany, and Angela Carr and her spouse Leslie; his beloved grandchildren, Amanda Bober, Nathan Bober, Michael Jr. Duany, Kaelin Duany, Cameron Carr, and Cassidy Carr; and his sisters, Helen Bradberry and Diane Vito.
Albert was a man of many passions—he loved fishing, boating, and hunting, and could often be found enjoying the outdoors. He also cherished his friendships and looked forward to poker games with the friends he held dear.
He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. His presence, wisdom, and humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Hwy 90 Little River, SC 29566. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. Entombment will immediately follow the funeral service at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens, 65 SC-90, Little River, SC 29566 with military honors.
