

Alexander Charles Morgan (Lex), 58, of North Myrtle Beach, passed away on February 25, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend.
Lex was born on September 14, 1964, to Dorothy (Dottie) Wise Morgan in Columbia, South Carolina. He soon relocated to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he was adopted by Timothy (Timmy) Grey Morgan. He was a graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School in 1983, originally class of 1982. Lex often enjoyed swapping stories with his fellow classmates and was proud to be a Chiefs’ alumni.
Lex spent his life as a salesman selling furniture, fences, timeshare, and even oriental rugs as a young adult. He had a natural ability to attract attention and admiration, making him a top salesman in every occupation he pursued. Lex enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, camping, going to the movies, and traveling to the Philippines. His main passion in life was Clemson Football. He spent many Saturdays devoted to Death Valley and rallying around Clemson victories. He was known to sport orange and purple every day of the week.
Lex is survived by his wife, Angel Abacajan Morgan of North Myrtle Beach; three daughters, Kelci Urbano (Jacob) of Columbus, Madeline Anne Morgan and Emily Elizabeth Morgan of North Myrtle Beach; one grandson, Kai Perry Urbano of Columbus; two brothers, Wayne Morgan (Kendra) of Columbia and Pete Morgan of North Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Barbara Morgan (David) of Murrells Inlet, Rosie Morgan (Christina) of North Myrtle Beach, and Julie Almeida of North Myrtle Beach; five nephews, Dr. Loren Morgan, Thad Morgan, Marcio Almeida, Brandon Almeida, and Christian Almeida; one niece, Kaleigh Morgan; and one furry companion, Coal.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Dottie and Timmy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, at 6 p.m., at Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River. Friends and family are encouraged to wear Clemson attire and will be received following the service at the Morgan Home at 1306 Edge Drive, NMB.
