Anna Jane Clayton

Anna Jane Clayton passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at the age of 81. After a long and courageous battle, her body was just too tired and she was held by her loved ones during and beyond her last breath.

Anna is survived by her husband, Harold Clayton of Longs, SC; her daughter, Stacy Clayton of Myrtle Beach, SC; 3 grandsons Michael Clayton (Rachel) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Dylan Prince (Lessie) of Midlothian, TX; and Clayton Hucks of Myrtle Beach, SC; 3 great-grand daughters, Kylie, Sadie and Lynnsie; and her siblings, Dorothy (Felix), Walter “Buster” (Joyce), Linda, Alfred “Buddy”, Elizabeth (Harry) and Agnes.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Catherine Zettwoch; her daughter, Kelley Prince; and sister, Kathleen Accordino.

Anna was born on August 20, 1941 in New York, NY. Anna was the oldest of eight siblings and as they all grew up and started their own families, Anna became a loving sister-in-law, aunt and godmother. There was nothing more important to Anna than her family.

In 1960, she met and married the love of her life and went on to have 2 daughters. After raising their children in Levittown, NY and retiring, they moved to South Carolina in 1992 where Anna spent the rest of her days living them to the fullest!

On Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:00 am, the family will have a prayer and memorial service in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. All are welcome.
