Arthur LaVere Henderson

Arthur LaVere Henderson, 89, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home.

Born on July 28, 1928 in Bedford, IN, he was the son of the late Arthur LeRoy and Elta Fern Brewer Henderson.

Mr. Henderson was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Japan, and a faithful member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Joella Porter Henderson; three sons, Scott, Lee, and Chris Henderson; sister, Evelyn Strange; eight grandchildren, Larry, Amanda, Matthew, Andrew, Thomas, Brad, Brittany, Christen; and two great grandchildren, Larry and Layla. He is predeceased by one grandson, Joey.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, September 2 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
