Barbara J. Dougherty

Barbara J. Dougherty, of North Myrtle Beach, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at home.

Barbara was born November 27, 1930 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late Milton Rouzee of Washington, DC and the late Grace Brown of Little River, SC.

Surviving are her children Robin Bean (Ralph) of Longs, SC and Gary Dougherty (Linda) of Little River, SC; the "world's greatest" granddaughter Lauren Boyd (Justin) of Cumming, GA, and great grandson Cullen Boyd of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by her brother Mitchell Brown (Debbie) of Tabor City, NC.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Bean; her parents and stepmother Geraldine Rouzee.

Her children would like to thank Holly Thompson of Embrace Hospice for her kind and loving care of their mother.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 801 11th Ave. N, North Myrtle Beach.
