

Carol A. Hlastala, 67, homemaker, of Little River, SC died on July 29th, 2024. She was born on August 21st, 1956, in Niagara Falls, New York to Kenneth Arthur Blaise and Marlilis Ruby Blaise (Bush). She moved to South Carolina in the summer of 1984.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen (Steve) Hlastala Jr; daughters, Jamie Hlastala of Little River and Jennifer Totuszynski of Lexington, and son, Stephen Hlastala III of Little River. She has three granddaughters, Summer Hlastala, Jayde Hunter, and Abigail Totuszynski. She has one grandson, Austin Totuszynski. She also has one great-granddaughter, Sophia Sansbury and great-grandson, Levi Hunter. She is survived by her brother, John Blaise and her sisters, Judith Cianchetti, Mary Ryan, Debra Gallagher, and Sherry Standlee. She is also missed by many other great-aunts, cousins, and family.
She was a dedicated wife and mother to her family. She loved to make people laugh. She took after her mother with her gift of gab and her ability to stop and talk to someone she did not know. She took care of her family and loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed taking care of her garden and working out in the yard. She loved sunflowers and flamingos. She really enjoyed decorating her flower beds and being outside when she could.
She will be missed and loved by many but never forgotten. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
