Carole A. DeLuca, born November 22, 1938, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 2, 2026. Carole was born and raised in Colliers, West Virginia. She later raised her family in Weirton, West Virginia, before moving to Little River, South Carolina in 1989, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Carole was kind-hearted, warm, and endlessly creative, with some of her hobbies including sketching, painting, sewing, woodworking, and various other types of crafting. Her quick wit and sassy sense of humor was something that those closest to her will never forget and something that remained sharp until the very end. She had a deep love for her family, friends, and animals. She was especially grateful of her community of neighbors who always brightened her days, whether it was stopping to have a garage chat, bringing baked goods, or spoiling her dog, Harry. Carole’s care and devotion were felt by everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Her warmth, laughter, and loving presence left a lasting mark on those she loved.
She is survived by her children, Kristen A. Fullum (Eric), Michael J. Evancho (Jennifer), David J. Evancho; grandchildren, Presley A. Holmes (Cameron), Delaney R. Fullum (Tyler), Zachary A. Jett, Christopher D. Evancho; and great-grandchild, Emma A. Holmes. She is also survived by her beloved pets, Holly, Inky, and her constant companion, Harry, who now is happily residing with her granddaughter, Delaney. Carole is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ed.
Carole will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends. At her request, no funeral service will be held. Instead, because of her love of animals, we are encouraging anyone who wants to honor her memory to donate to an animal society of their
choosing.
