Carole Ruth Laga, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on May 31, 1939, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, the only child of Russel and Ruth Haily Hoffman of Darlington Ave Ramsey, N.J. Carole graduated from Ramsey High School and went on to touch the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
On September 5, 1959, Carole married the love of her life, William Joseph Laga, and together they embarked on a journey that spanned 43 beautiful years. They raised five children, Michael Laga of North Hampton, Mass., Diane Burger of Matamoras, PA., Dawn Brewer of Henderson, NV., Susan Roemer of Concord, N.H. and Kristen Lundy of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Carole and Bill shared the responsibilities of raising their children while running a successful TV repair business from their home in Ramsey, NJ, later working for Rite-Aid in Pennsylvania and then retirement in Conway, S.C..
Carole's legacy extends beyond her immediate family to include 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a source of boundless love, support, leaving an indelible mark on each of their lives.
Throughout her life, Carole found joy in simple pleasures, from summer trips to New Hampshire to early morning water aerobics sessions with friends at the Myrtle Trace pool. She treasured moments spent at the beach with her daughter Kristen and granddaughters Kassidy and Kyle Pearl, creating memories that will be cherished for generations to come.
An ardent animal lover, Carole had a special affinity for cats and dogs, often extending her nurturing spirit to various critters in need. Her green thumb and passion for gardening were evident in the lush beauty of her surroundings, while her culinary talents shone through in her famous brownies and apple pies, which were eagerly awaited by family and friends alike.
Above all, Carole will be remembered for her unwavering presence and the depth of her love and understanding. She had a gift for listening and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Though she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In the embrace of heaven, Carole will continue to watch over her children and their families, her love enduring beyond the confines of this earthly existence. Rest in peace, dear Carole, knowing that you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
