Chad Eric Poplin, 30, died March 17, 2018 at home.
Born on July 12, 1987 in Myrtle Beach, SC, he was the son of Pat Bennett and Michelle Poplin Ratliff.
Chad was a happy child, who loved to skate, surf, excelled at Karate and earned his black belt. He loved gymnastics and won many awards and trophies. He attended North Myrtle Beach High School, then went on to earn his GED, attended ITT, where he was awarded Honors Certificates. He was kind, bright, loving and always had a way of making you laugh.
Other than his parents, Chad is survived by his children, Kaleb Michael Poplin and Mikayla Rose Poplin; sister, Amber Nettles; good friends, Christopher Campbell, Jan and Jimmy Eady; and many friends, who he loved so much. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Joyce Poplin, to whom he was very close, and his uncle, Gary Almond.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, March 23, in Lee Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 24 at Today’s Harvest Church, 1100 33rd Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
