A proud veteran, Chuck served in the US Navy. Following his time in the military, he began a career with Shoemaker Electric in Columbus, Ohio before joining Del-Co in Delaware, Ohio where he retired after a lengthy career as a maintenance supervisor.
Chuck married Diane Rowland on October 6, 1973. He was a loving and devoted husband for almost 50 years. Chuck was an avid golfer and a diehard Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns Fan. He and Diane were snowbirds to Little River for a number of years but became full-time residents in July 2022.
In addition to his wife Diane, Chuck is survived by his daughters, Teresa Short (husband, Benjamin), Sharon Penry; granddaughter, Gracie Short; and sister, Patricia Onaindia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Entombment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Florence National Cemetery with military honors. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC is assisting the family.
