Born in Bellville, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Arthur EJ Johnson, Jr. and Anna Mae Fournie Johnson.
Cheryl was a Registered nurse for 10 years and then transitioned to working in her husband's accounting firm. She enjoyed traveling the world, cooking, reading and entertaining her many friends.
Survivors include her stepdaughter Deborah McConnell (Kevin); two brothers, Alan Johnson (Anna) and Todd Johnson (Anna); and four grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews.
Her loving husband of 43 years, Jim Burgess predeceased her in 2023.
Per her wishes, no services will be conducted.
