So sorry to hear, belatedly.  Postal colleague, good friend.  Good soul.

My mother, Marie Doris LeBlanc, worked with Chet’s wife. Chet and Lorraine were wonderful people. We visited them and enjoyed being around them.  So sorry they are gone.

When Uncle Chester entered heaven on March 2, 2020, he was reunited with his loving wife, Aunt Lorraine. At the same time, he left behind family & friends who loved him, cared for him, and visited him in his time of need. Their thoughtfulness & personal sacrifices did not go unnoticed by me. 
Uncle Chester was a happy man with a big heart, who never met a stranger. The photo of Uncle Chester smiling in the golf cart reminded me of the first time he met my husband. Uncle Chester had invited him to play golf with him. My husband replied that he does not know how. Uncle Chester responded without hesitation, “That is OK. We will learn.” 
And one of the last things Uncle Chester said to me was some advice. He said, “It is what it is.” Thanks for the simple but yet helpful words of wisdom, Uncle Chester. May God Bless You and Keep You.


Uncle Chet loved golfing.  He was happiest when on the course and even built his retirement home along a fairway.   Uncle Chet was also a great carpenter and woodworker and built me a toy barn when I was a kid.   Uncle Chet always had a cool car, from a Pontiac LeMans to a Cadillac.  Uncle Chet also loved to read books and discuss current events and issues.   He always had an informed opinion and was ready to share it.   Uncle Chet loved to travel, driving from North Carolina to Canada many times.   My memories of Uncle Chet are too numerous to put all here, but they say it takes a village to raise a child.   I am proud and honored to say that Uncle Chet was a distinguished member of my "village"  of adult mentors during my formative years.  I will miss him dearly and always cherish his memory.  

Uncle Chester, may you rest in peace with Aunt Lorraine.  You two had a wonderful life together.  Thank you for your example.  All our love, Karen, David, and Samantha.

It was my senior year 1979 and Uncle Chester and Aunt Lorraine invited me on a trip to visit them after graduation. They took me around the sights, Mark Twain house, Osmond Family show and Mystic Seaport. It was on the trip to Mystic that was most memorable, as follows.  The four  us, Chester, Lorraine,  Grandma Nelly and myself, were driving along when Chester passed something that smelled rather rotten. Well,  Lorraine was weak of stomach and needing to pull over to relieve her upset stomach,  Her oral spillage then caused Nelly to also get an upset stomach. Short story, 2 women vomiting and 2 men laughing, memorable to say the least.
