On Friday, January 4, 2019, Christian Peter John Carbone, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at age 77.
Christian was born on February 7, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Connie (Anderson) Carbone. He went to Cadet Midshipman Training Corp. On May 12, 1962, he married Louise Carol Caesar. They moved from Long Island, NY to Duxbury, MA were they raised 2 children. Upon moving to MA they had started LinMic Farm, a horse farm.
Christian was self-employed, working alongside his wife, at Highland Auto Repair until he retired and sold the business in 1994. Upon retiring, Christian and Louise decided to head south and settled in Loris, SC where they relocated LinMic Farm.
Christian had a passion for saltwater fishing. Upon retiring, he made his life-long dream of owning a fishing boat into a reality. He purchased the "Reel Deal" and fished almost daily, weather permitting. He was an active member and President of the Seacoast Anglers for 13 years. He was a big advocate of HOOK a Kid on Fishing, where the club would take under privileged children on fishing trips. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Christian is survived by his wife Louise; his 2 children, Linda and fiancé, Rick, Michael and daughter-in-law, Christine; his sister, Sherry; 5 grandchildren, Rachel, Shawn, Amanda, Rebecca, John; and great granddaughter, Addison.
Christian will be buried at sea at his favorite fishing location. A memorial will be held on January 15, 2019 at VFW Post 10804, 111 State Hwy 57, Little River, SC at 12:30 pm.
