Constance "Connie" Ann Clarke

Born on July 30, 1931 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Van Natten.

Connie was born and raised in the Highbridge section of the Bronx. She was married to Eugene (Gene) Clarke of the Bronx and moved to Hicksville, New York where she lived until November, 2017. In 2017 Connie moved to South Carolina to be with family.

Constance (Connie) loved to travel. And travel she did. As a world traveler she went on dream trips South Africa, Australia, Europe and Canada. Her heart was made of pure gold and one of the kindest and most giving people you would ever want to know. She loved golf and being outdoors. She could find joy and beauty in life’s simplest things. Her love and smile will be remembered by her family forever. The world is a lesser place with her departure.

Connie’s career was in Banking and retired as a Vice President from Chase. She loved children and would and would gladly donate her time and talent for children causes.

Connie was an active member in her community belonging to community groups such as Kiwanis and the Rotary clubs, holding board position at both. During her retirement years, she was a constant volunteer helping in Human Services for her Parish, St. Ignatius in Hicksville, NY.

Survivors include her sister Diane Maddock of Little River, SC; and her two nephews Keith and Chris Maddock and their families.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC, South Carolina. A prayer service will be held at 4:30 pm.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:15 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 147 S. Broadway, Hicksville, NY. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery.
