Daniel Meacham Stewart, Jr.

Daniel Meacham Stewart, Jr., age 87, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Born on February 14, 1938, on Staten Island, New York, he was the son of the late Daniel M. Stewart, Sr. and Mary Katherine Wright Stewart.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Catherine Ball Stewart; his children, Bryan Stewart and wife Deb, Kathi Stewart, and Daniel Stewart III and wife Diana; five grandchildren, Henry Hiemstra, Christian Franz, Daniel M. Stewart IV, Haille Hiemstra, and Samantha Stewart; and three great-grandchildren, Axle Hiemstra, Preston Finn Hiemstra, and Marina Kay Hiemstra. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William “Buddy” Stewart, his sister Patricia Esposito, and one nephew.

Nearly 30 years ago, Daniel moved to the Carolinas and quickly embraced the coastal lifestyle. He loved surf fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time outdoors tending to his yard, which he kept immaculate. He was a proud member of the Concerned Bikers group and shared many adventures with fellow riders. Above all, he cherished time with his family and his beloved dog, Daisy.
