Davis E. Wylie

Davis E. Wylie “Toad”, 83, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at home with his family by his side. Born on June 29, 1942, in Chester, SC, Toad, as he was affectionately nicknamed, was the son of the late Thomas G. and Sarah Corder Wylie. He was the widower of Sandra Wylie.

A graduate of Chester High School, Toad retired following a lengthy career as a supervisor from Springs Industries. Following his late retirement, and his diagnosis of dementia, Sabrina (Granddaughter) and her husband, Josh moved Toad to their home in Longs where they were blessed to spend precious moments together. Their daughter, Piper became the apple of his eye - they were “two peas in a pod.”

A loving father, Toad is survived by his three children, Sandy Easter, Kim Hunnicutt and Justin Wylie, as well as five grandchildren, Sabrina Blackwell, Brittney Hoyle, Jake Sanders, Ronnie Wylie, and Mason Desmarais. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
