Donald Delane Jacoby

South Carolina and formerly of York County,

Pennsylvania, went to be with his Lord and Savior

on Monday, December 5, 2016.

Jake was born in York County, Pa.,

a son of the late Lester and Dorothy Lunsford Jacoby.

He graduated from Central York High School

Class of 1958, he was an Eagle Scout recipient,

first one of the Roundtown Scout Troop to receive

this honor. He was an original founding member

of the York County Fiddlers Association and an avid

Square Dance Caller. He retired from American

Greeting Company as District Sales Manager.

Family was his life, he truly loved spending his retired time with his wife, kids and grandkids, whom affectionately called him “Pappy”.

Surviving are his devoted and loving wife of 50 years this past July 23rd, Norma Kuykendall Jacoby; son, Mark (Melinda) Jacoby; daughters, Melissa (David) Moser and Marcia (Michael) Sabold; 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Dylan, Tanya, D.J., Dylan, Zac, Diamond, Michael, Missy and Jason; 15 great-grandchildren and his grandcat, Tyson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the Risen Christ Lutheran Church School, 10595 US-17, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

A memorial service to honor Jake will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Zwingli United Church Christ, 403 W. King St., East Berlin, Pa., 17316. A reception will follow the memorial service. A memorial service to honor Jake will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 17 at Risen Christ Lutheran Church. A reception will follow the memorial service.
