Donald Marro

Donald Alfonso Marro Sr., affectionately known as “T-Rex,” passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the age of 88 on July 7, 2024. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Donald’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and family.

Born on August 14, 1935, to the late Domenico and Marie Marro, Donald was known for his unwavering dedication to his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, always finding ways to bring joy and laughter into their lives. His love for God and his strong faith assured us he is in heaven with his wife, Joan R. Marro, the love of his life, who predeceased him. Donald and Joan shared an extraordinary bond, having been married for 65 wonderful years.

Donald was also predeceased by his brother, Thomas Marro, and his sister, Alice Way.

Donald leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his two sons, Donald A. Marro Jr. (Michele) and Michael Marro (KaCy), and his daughter, Joanne Coyne (Kevin). He also leaves behind his eight grandchildren: Angela Hardee (Ashley), Donald J. Marro (Amy), Danielle Hucks (Tripp), Anthony Marro (Jessica), Melissa Beach, Michael Marro (Emily), Dominic Marro, and Shelbi Rosen (David); and eleven great-grandchildren, whom he fondly referred to as his village.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his neighbors and dear friends who went above and beyond in caring for and loving him. A very special thanks to April Lentini, who has been a huge part of the family and holds a special place in their hearts.

The family will announce a celebration of life for both Donald and Joan at a later date.
