My beautiful aunt Dot.. I know you guys are up in heaven playing cards and eating mashed potatoes with jelly!! I miss all of you. Take care of Brett and Dad for me… love you 😘

My deepest condolences to Dottie’s family, I can’t imagine the loss you must feel. I am so sad that she is not with us in this realm any longer. Dottie and I met in the indoor pool at the Tilghman Hotel as snowbirds to Myrtle Beach and have been friends every since with us both moving down permanently.  Dottie was the most generous, big hearted uplifting person I’ve ever known. Never once have I ever heard her complain no matter what came her way. I want to be just like her when adversity comes my way and handle it as gracefully as she did. RIP Dottie and fly high!

Dot & my friendship goes back to our children being in the same grades in school, to serving together as Girl Scout Brownie Leaders,  Dot being my hairdresser & Slender Quest instructor.

After Dot & Ed moved away from PA, I would see her sister-in-law, from time-to-time and get "caught up" on how they were doing.  Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, our paths haven't crossed, therefore, I was very saddened to see Dot's obit in our newspaper.

I will surely miss seeing Dottie in the neighborhood. As many have said she always had a ready smile and welcoming attitude especially at water aerobics that I participated in with her from the beginning. I have some of her handmade cards that I have enjoyed sending to people knowing that it will be a unique card for them. 
Her gracious attitude and many talents made her someone we all enjoyed . My heartfelt condolences to her family

Anyone who knew Dottie knew what a big, generous heart she had.  Anything I admired in her home, she would show up at my front door within the next day or two with a similar item, often that she had made.  One time I admired something and that evening, she called me on her way home from Michaels down in Myrtle Beach where she had asked Ed to drive her, so she could buy the items needed to make another one for me.  Poor Ed!  I know he was used to that, tho, after all their years together.   Dottie was the best; and she will be missed not only by her family, but also by everyone who knew her. I didn’t really know Dottie that well but whenever I saw her she always had a big smile and a kind word. I wish I got to know her better. We send our sincere condolences to her family 😢😢

Dottie was always there with a smile, a big hello or carrying a pot full of homemade soup to anyone who needed it. She was a presence in the neighborhood, whether walking, swimming, wading or tooling around in her golf cart. We will miss her dearly. Our sincere condolences to Ed and the girls.

Dottie  was a truly a loving, beautiful lady!!  She taught my little granddaughter, Chloe, the song the BIBLE, that’s the BOOK for me, one summer at the pool and to this day, Chloe sings this song in her nightly Prayers!!  Whenever Chloe came to visit, she would always ask if Dottie was going to be at the pool!!  Dottie will truly be missed!!
The entire family is in my thoughts and Prayers!!  God Bless each one of you!!

Momma Heisler is truly a precious gift, she made me her "daughter" and "family" without hesitation and treated my husband and I that way as well as everyone else.  No one was a stranger to Momma Heisler and if you were, she would get to know you! She has given me so many gifts and memories, but best of all she has shared her family with me, and there can be no better gift. Brenda, Aud and Dad love you all so much, you are in my heart and prayers and I am so grateful to have shared Momma Heisler with you all.

My memories of Dottie are happy ones. You couldn't help but be happy around her. She always had a smile and a good sense of humor. I enjoyed our chats and water aerobics. So very sad at the passing of Dottie. She had a heart of gold and always a smile. Our fearless leader at water aerobics as she led the mermaids through our very graceful moves. Dear friend you will be missed, but thankful you were in my life.

So very sorry to hear about Dottie!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ed and your family!  I remember the fun times we had golfing when you would come down from the North!  Also, I still have some of the cards Dotty made for us! 

Condolence to the family, Dottie will surely be missed by many people,  When Dot and Ed lived on Virmay Dr. Dottie insisted we live with then until our house was built.  We had so many good times playing cards.  When they moved to S C we would  visit them at least once a year for a week, I called Dot and ED's place the Heisler hotel with the best food in town.  RIP my friend.

She was my favorite golf buddy and made sure all players counted every shot...one of her pet peeves!!      Missed seeing you since you moved to S.C.,  but always thought of you and always will whenever I see a bowl of candy.

Words just cannot express how sad I am to loose my sweet friend and encourager. I am so sorry for you the family. I have prayed for comfort for you in the loss of your sweet Dottie. We will miss her so much. But am glad for the assurance that I will see her again.  Our conversations the last few months were full of how much she appreciated her family. Know that she loved and appreciated you very much.

I will always remember, Ed, Dott ,me and my oldest Grandson Casey, played a round of golf. Casey said "I can't believe I lost to a 70 year old woman " She loved it !!

Our hearts are broken at the sad news of Dotties passing. Ed we have not seen the two of you for some time but you both have always been in our thoughts. So many good memories playing cards and swimming at your house on Virmay Dr. in Gilbertsville, PA.  Ed I remember the day you came home from work and found Dottie digging a trench along the back of the house for a patio she wanted.

Dot and I were young teen mothers raising our families on 4th and 5th streets. We would push our babies in coaches to Weiner Shop on High St. when we had money and would get a soda :-) One day while we were walking a young man in a sports car stopped and said 'I hope they're doll carriages you're pushing'!  Dot didn't skip a beat, and said 'is that a toy car?' Sounds like she absolutely never changed.  Great fun times!!!  Mary Yohn Shaner
