Douglas G. “Doug” Luber, 73, died February 17, 2020 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.
Born on September 20, 1946 in Kearny, NJ, and raised in Lyndhurst, NJ. Once married, Doug lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for several years, then after retirement spent his remaining years in Calabash, NC. He was the son of the late Raymond Luber and Anne Dodski Schubeck.
Doug was a skilled carpenter and a member of the Northeast Carpenters Union for over 20 years. He was a jack of all trades and most loved cooking, gardening, fishing, watching sports, and always enjoyed listening to music and being social with his family and friends.
Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Susan (Desbiens); and three loving children, Alyson Lilley (Bruce), Kimberly Ann Thompson (Jay), Douglas S. Luber (Kimberly Ann); his many loving family members and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, February 21 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel.
