Edward Wood Jr.

Born on May 16, 1954, in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward Wood, Sr. and Anna DeSimone Wood. Edward was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Wood. They were married in 1974 and shared over 47 years of love and memories until her death in 2021. He was the proud father of four children and seven grandchildren.

He was a graduate of Wayne Hills High School. Edward began his career in New York City for Laborers Union 1010 where he worked for approximately 15 years. He then became an operating engineer, retiring after about 24 years of dedicated service. He was very devoted to supporting his family. Following retirement he relocated to Longs, SC from New Jersey.

Edward was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed these activities with his son, Edward III, and his best friend of 40 years, Billy Wyatt. In his younger years, Edward also enjoyed bowling and he never stopped watching old movies, classics were his favorite.

Surviving are his children, Sandra Bonelli (Leland), Edward Wood, Danielle Wood; grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Alexandra, Trinity, Victoria, Rylie, Jamie; and daughter in law, Brianne Wood. Edward is also survived by two sisters, Linda and Debbie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was recently preceded in death by his son, Thomas Wood.
