Edwin John Rowan III

Chaplain (COL) Jack Rowan, III, Ret. was born December 18, 1932 to Edwin John Rowan, Jr. and Mellie Sue Campbell Rowan in Latta, SC. He married the love of his life Priscilla Denham of Timmonsville 57 years ago. After 30 years of service in the US Army, they retired back to SC where they served in several churches.

Jack is survived by his wife, Priscilla of the home, a son, Edwin “Jed” Rowan, IV of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Chaplain (COL) Julie Rowan (Duane Newton) of San Antonia, TX, a grandson, Ve Rowan of Surfside Beach, SC, a granddaughter, Ashley Rowan of Florence, SC. He is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Summer Rowan and great-grandson, Chamber Rowan of Conway, SC.

Family Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 9:30-11:00 with funeral following at 11:00 at Bible Fellowship Baptist Church at 462 Highway 57 South, Little River, SC. Burial will be at 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon at Florence Memorial Gardens, Florence, SC, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Bible Fellowship Baptist Church, PO Box 1109 Little River, SC 29566.
