Eleanor L. Start

Eleanor "Nonie" Letitia Start entered this world on 4/1/49 and passed away peacefully on Saturday 10/17/26. She was born and raised in Springfield Illinois and spent a significant portion of her life in Tuscon, AZ.

Predeceased by the love of her life-Timothy Start, mom Grace Decker, father Joseph Berger Sr, her beloved and namesake Aunt Eleanor aka Iny - and her husband Uncle Stan. She is survived by brothers Joe and Mike and their wives respectively. Two devoted stepdaughters- Tam Start (Stephanie Thomas) and Jennifer Yocum (Steve), sister in law Nancy Morris and loyal best friend Doreen Blair along with a host of friends, nieces and nephews.

Nonie grew up with a Catholic upbringing and her faith carried throughout her lifetime. Her love of Elvis Presley, hummingbirds, and diet Coke were unprecedented. She had a great sense of humor and her hearty laugh was contagious. She possessed a strong appreciation for the beauty in art, nature, animals, and mankind.
