Eva Magdeline Martin

Eva Magdelene Martin, 84, of Carolina Shores NC passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Friday, October 5, 2018 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital.

Born in Washington, DC, on September 25, 1934 she was the daughter of the late James B. and Eva M. Curry.

Eva is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald A. Martin; three children, Eric (Elsa) of Laredo, TX, Dawn Sowers (Bill) of Woodbridge, VA, Kevin (Jenise) of Alexandria, VA; and one grandson, Sean Sowers.

Formerly of Spotsylvania, VA, Eva and Don would spend months in Myrtle Beach (snowbirds) before deciding to relocate full-time, settling in Calabash. Together they lived life to its fullest.

Known for her home cooked meals, and the best Thanksgiving feast ever, she never left anyone hungry. A good friend to many, Eva (Mom) was a great wife to Donald, and mother to her children. She will be greatly missed, but never gone from our memories or hearts.

A special thanks to the nursing staff who attended to Eva.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date, with internment at Quantico National Cemetery.
