Evelyn N. “Nevern” Rogers, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on December 2, 1940 in Clinton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha Matthis.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wilton Rogers; two daughters, Kathy Rogers and Evelyn Balczo; two brothers, Abram and Oscar Matthis; sister, Sudie Matthis; four grandchildren, Kevin, Justin, Mitchell, Kristin (Ricky); and two great grandchildren, Kennedi and Nolan.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, May 3 at First Baptist Church, Conway, SC. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
