A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Frank served four years as a radar man. He was a police officer and then a detective in the New Brunswick Police Department. He also owned a luncheonette in New Brunswick located near Rutgers University and then a limousine business in the same city. Frank and his wife, Marylynne, were married for 54 years and in 2004, they retired to Calabash, North Carolina. Frank never met a stranger and enjoyed making new friends. Frank belonged to the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks #2679 in Calabash and served as its Exalted Ruler and Trustee. He also belonged to the American Legion in Calabash and enjoyed joining his brothers at both organizations. He was very active in youth sports as a coach of Pop Warner football as well as at the high school level. He was a loving father and a loyal and faithful husband. He was full of joy, compassion and understanding all of his days.
Frank was predeceased by his father, Frank A. Blue, Sr. and his mother Anna Helfin Blue. He is survived by his wife, Marylynne and their son, Michael, and wife, Jordana of New Jersey.
There will be a Celebration of Life Mass at St. Brendan the Navigator Church on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
